The Chemistry Department’s Joint Safety Team is excited to announce our first field trip to our collaborator Boehringer Ingelheim (BI). BI is one of the world’s 20 leading pharmaceutical companies with a history of research in respiratory diseases, metabolism, immunology, oncology, and CNS diseases. We will be visiting their campus in Ridgefield, CT, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away.
The trip will take place on Friday, June 24 with a bus departing around 11:30 AM. We will tour the medicinal chemistry, process chemistry, and scale-up/kilogram labs with special attention to safety features in industry. The tour will conclude by 5 PM with an estimated return time to New Haven of 6:15 PM.
