Maria-Elena holds a BS in chemistry and a MSc in synthetic pharmaceutical chemistry from University of Athens, Greece. She is a member of the Jorgensen group at Yale, where she currently works on JAK inhibitors. Besides chemistry, Maria-Elena loves music and dogs. She spends her free time playing violin and guitar or reading books.

Sayoni grew up in India, and is now pursuing her PhD in physical chemistry in the Johnson Lab. She traps, characterizes and studies the structure and reactivity of chemical intermediates using gas-phase cryogenic IR spectroscopy. She is addicted to caffeine and dank memes, enjoys watching the cinema, cooking, reading thrillers and taking inane photographs.
